Fun Fact: As I was walking over to our little set up, I saw a snake! Ya! Freaked me out! And yet is was kind of cool. It indeed was a small snake but, hey, a snake is a snake!
At the park, Damon played ball with his cousins, and Carter pushed him around on his little fire truck. It was a pretty cute site to witness. We also had a little barbecue while we were at the park. Just being with family, throwing the football around, kicking a ball around, basking in the warm weather...I don't think it could get much better. I just remember feeling so grateful/blessed for the family that we have and for the beautiful earth that we live on. Heavenly Father has giving us just beautiful things to enjoy and families to laugh and play with. Of course, we missed the rest of our family on both sides. I wish we all lived in the same area! Then on Damon's actual birthday (which was during the week) we celebrated with just the three of us. It was intimate and fun for us to experience. We had dinner on the floor together and then Damon piled on into his angel food cake with cool whip on top.

These pictures were taken on Damon's actual birthday! Damon and I ran to Porter Park and played there for a little bit in the morning (Garrett was at work). Damon was anxious to open up his presents. We had to wait until late at night to open them...Garrett got off work later in the day. The top left picture are just some fun facts about Damon on his 1st birthday.

Damon's Papa brought us over a mattress to have and put into our third bedroom. We had so much fun with it. We put it up against the couch for awhile (it was a nice cushion for when Damon would fall off the couch) It felt like we were camping in the living room. It was fun :)

This is Damon's favorite teddy bear. Damon isn't really attached to anything (like how other kids may be attached to a binky or a blanket) but if I was to say what he was the most attached to I would say this is the item. He doesn't need it to sleep and he doesn't carry it around with him everywhere but he does love that bear (As an 18 month old that talks alot now, he now calls that "baby" or "bobby")
